Landside Security Officer

Position Overview

Six Maritime is seeking professional Landside Security Officers to support security operations at maritime facilities, shipyards, and other critical infrastructure sites. This role focuses on access control, patrols, monitoring, and enforcing site security procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment.

Landside Security Officers are a key component of integrated security operations supporting maritime and industrial clients.

Key Responsibilities

Control access to secured facilities and verify credentials
Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of assigned areas
Monitor activity and report suspicious behavior or security incidents
Enforce site-specific security policies and procedures
Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies as directed
Maintain detailed logs, reports, and incident documentation
Coordinate with supervisors, site personnel, and emergency responders
Represent the company professionally at all times

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
Experience working in industrial, port, or shipyard environments
Guard card or state security license (where applicable)
First aid / CPR certification
Familiarity with access control systems and CCTV monitoring

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to work indoors and outdoors
Ability to lift and carry moderate weight as required
Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations
